Mountain Magic in Medicine Bow
Updated: May 24
Hiking in Medicine Bow is pure mountain magic. At 7,000 feet, the air is thinner, and it's not just the altitude that leaves me breathless. The towering and jagged mountains, the icy, emerald water, and the snow-white stones are a vision of beauty. I meditate on the sheer rock walls and hop from boulder to boulder. I won't let the huffing and puffing stop me from experiencing one of the most peaceful places in Wyoming.
In October, all the trees are ablaze and bursting in cherub golds and flame red. The crisp wind whips through the prairie grass. Wild horses couldn't drag me away from this autumn wonderland.
Somewhere in Wyoming, a cowgirl is dreaming about a campfire and piping hot tea. Merry Trails!
